Work From Home Insurance Agent

Work From Home Insurance Agent
Work as an insurance home adjuster?

Thinking of trying to become a home adjuster. I want to be able to do something on the side and I could do home inspections for real estate agents. I’ve been on plenty of insurance sites (allstate, state farm, etc) and I can’t get much info about home insurance at all. Plenty of auto adjusters but I do not want to deal with cars.

Do insurance companies have home adjusters or do they use outside companies?

They have property adjusters, just like they have for autos. It is not necessarily a good side job though, you are basically on call all the time. House fires don’t always happen between 9-5. Adjusters don’t do inspections, that’s a different profession altogether. If there is a fire, the ins.co. might hire an outside company to determine the cause but not determine how much gets paid out. You could be a building inspector or do code enforcement, those aren’t quite as demanding on your time.

Home Business Rankings

Home Business Rankings
Should I offer a free membership or stick with paid membership?

I started an online business last year for a membership site that helps people find legitimate work from home jobs. Basically what we do is aggregate, screen, review, and post the legitmate jobs that are already on the internet saving the job searcher time and money. There are many scams associated with this type of work and we provide a clean service to help people find the real jobs.

The question is that right now it is a paid membership site $7.99/month which isn’t a lot but we aren’t getting a lot of prospects to sign up.

Granted traffic isn’t huge because we haven’t ranked high for keywords yet.

Should we continue to try and build backlinks and try to get high rankings before we think about switching to a free model or should we go ahead and do the free model in hopes of building traffic?

you should have free membership for a short amount of time THEN as you gain credentials, have people pay.

also please post your site so i can take a look

You always have to make sacrifices in the begining to get your name out there. I have a recording studio that I currently charge only $100 a month for the ENTIRE month. most people charge up to $300 for 8hr of time. Its a sacrifice to get my name out and as I upgrade and get credentials I will up my price

Work From Home Studies

Work From Home Studies
How do i choose? To go back to my current job, or to stay at home and work from home and study?

My worst weakness is in making decisions. I cant even decide what chocolate bar i want! So when it comes to big decisions it is hard.
On maternity leave at moment, was only working part time though, baby is 5 months, have two older kids. Its been good to be there more for my older kids picking up from school, going to assembly when they have wanted me to see them sing or get an award etc.

Would like to finish off studies that i started years ago. Kind of means a career change which is a bit scary.
I did really enjoy my work though (not all aspects however).

I also dont like being at home all the time. I would need to get out regularly so i dont go stir crazy.
Of course money would be tighter if i didnt go back to work. Husband would prefer i go back i think. But if i really wanted to stay at home and study he would be okay with it.

Then there is childcare to worry about. Can be good to have a break but then sickness etc…
Please any suggestions or advice?

I say stay at home and find something that would be a good deal to bring in a little extra income. It is valuable to be able to attend things with your kids and that is something that you could never get back. I wish that I had the opportunity to do that instead of working sometimes. Maybe one of these days though! So, stay home, it will save on childcare expenses and give you and your children memories of you being there for them all the time!
