CAN MY SISTER-IN-LAW HOME SCHOOL MY KIDS?

I am working a full time job, and my kids are having problems at school. My sister-in-law has home school all of her 5 kids so, I was wondering is it legal for her to home school my kids? I do not know the California laws on this matter.

Yes, she can.

If you file a Private School Affidavit (also known as an R-4), you can list your sister-in-law as a member of your school’s faculty. This would make it legal for her to teach your kids.

This is untrue for California. Not only do you not need to check with your school, you do not need to be approved by the district. Homeschooling in California is considered private school and is not under the jurisdiction of public school officials.

Are there any legit work a home positions available?

I am not talking about Multi-Level-Marketing Schemes or that get rich over night crap I am talking about real jobs with reputable companies!
I am not looking for scams that require any money up front to seem bogus job opportunities

All these people who posted here so far are basically the scams you didn’t want to be involved with.

From personal experience, I never heard of a legit “work at home” job. The only one I know of is that of my uncle who works for a newspaper company as an editor… but I would consider that “taking the work home”.

In my book, the only legit work at home job is growing fruits in your backyard to sell to grocery stores, hand-made quilts, etc… the old fashion way. Hope this helps.

any ideas on how to make some extra money from home besides doing surveys or similar junk?

i’m certainly old enough to do any type of work.

I’m not sure what your experience, back ground or what your work history is or what your even qualified to do. If you can type, or take calls, or have some sort of Internet skills, you might be able to qualify for a home job position. There was an article that I know of that has a couple different companies listed. If you meet their criteria, and think you’d like the job, then go ahead and apply for the position.

Now is the time to hit the garden centers- if you have experience submit a resume if not, give them a call and ask for management- explain to them that you are looking to fill some time and that you want to learn more about gardening, if you are vonunteering I am sure they will be more than happy to give you a position. Try Vandermeers, Richters, Hotners, Sheridan or look them up in the phone book. I worked in a garden center for a summer and I got to bring home tons of plants – my mom had the best garden that year!
